Building a List and Avoiding Traffic Scams

There are a lot of promotions that make promises of “guaranteed traffic”.   But chances are that you do not want to become one of the legions of business enterprise owners or net marketers who get tempted by offers of “guaranteed” traffic at very low prices. A traffic scam is more likely the truth whenever you are presented with such offers.

These traffic scam operators send thousands of visitors from certain sources on a weekly basis to your site without you acquiring a single reader or even fashioning a single sale for your internet marketing online efforts. You don’t need to wonder too long to know what is actually happening -  pop up windows generate a lot of this traffic appearing on other websites .

Your website is loaded into such pop up windows.  For example, a pop up window containing your Website  pops up randomly under certain Websites being viewed by a random person.Basically, this results in having your website sent out to thousands of untargeted customers which in this case are likely not going to be your customers.

One of the key to success, however, lies in list-construction i.e. creating a list of TARGETED customers. Targeted customers are those that are interested in your topic and will most likely be interested in buying your products or services. Those customers who are not interested in your niche will not be buying anything because they are not targeted, and they do not want to be hassled by traffic generating pop ups. However, by getting targeted customers to enter their email addresses, you can build a list of those who are genuinely interested in your business.

There is therefore a need to be more weary when spending your money, avoid companies that provide scam traffic services with bogus offers and carefully plan your site in such a way that you can take note and build a list of those Web visitors that are potential customers of your business.
